Growth of charge points continues

The UK is now home to over 86,000 charge points, marking a 22% year-on-year increase. Notably, the highest growth came from ultra-rapid chargers, which increased by 51% in the same period to a total of 9,290 devices nationwide. This expansion is supported by driver demand: September 2025 also delivered the highest ever monthly volume for battery electric vehicle (BEV) registrations in the UK.
