Brookhire has a fleet of over 80 vehicles. Our commercial fleet includes the following.

10 cwt Pick Up with Caged Sides

This is ideal for taking garden rubbish to the tip or collecting goods from DIY or Garden Centers. It will carry up to 0.5 tonne and can be used as a tipper if required. We can offer short or long terms hire rates.

BEWARE A PERMIT IS NOW REQUIRED TO DISPOSE OF WASTE AT THE LOCAL TIP USING ANY COMMERCIAL VEHICLE OR TRAILER.

Small and Medium Sized Vans

Suitable for moving single or multiple items which need to remain covered during transit. These come in a multitude of sizes, with 2 and 3 seat cabs, and can carry a range of goods from hand tools to furniture; The 10 cwt van is the smallest, about the size of a post office van, with 2 seats in the front. - Diesel

The Citroen Dispatch is a good compromise, with 3 seats in the front and a good load space in the rear. - Diesel

Transits

Long Wheel Base Vans

Long wheel base vehicles are useful when you need a bit more space than the standard transit provides, but don't want the bulk of a Luton and do not need a tail lift. Greater fuel economy that the Luton Van. Vehicles are available with internal load length of approximately 11 foot or 13 foot. - Diesel

30 cwt Pick Ups and Twin Wheel Dropsides

This dropside pick-up is suitable for moving lengths of timber, scaffolding, machinery etc. where the goods do not need to be covered during transit, or for clearing sites of rubbish. - 3 Seats in the Front

Luton Vans with Tail Lifts

These 3.5 tonne furniture vans are suitable for moving house, collecting goods and transporting equipment, they are particularly useful for heavy items as the tail lift does the work for you. The Lutons square shaped box on the back means packing is not hindered by wheel arches etc.

Hi-Cap Luton

This high capacity, 5 tonne, Luton is a good compromise between the 3.5 tonne luton and the 7.5 tonne box van. Ideal for moving house, transporting goods etc. - Diesel

7.5 Tonne Curtainsider

These are great for moving house, enabling you to move all your belongings in one go – obviously this depends on the size of the house! Our curtainsiders are available with or without tail lifts and come in two lengths. Length: 16' 9" (5.10m)

7.5 Tonne Box Vans The 7.5 tonne box vans all have tail lifts to make the job easier. We have a variety of sizes available but the below serves as a guideline. Length: 17' 2" (5.23m)

Height: 6'11" (2.10m) Various licence restrictions apply to vehicles within this category but as a general rule you must be over 25 and under 70 with a full driving licence showing category C1. If you passed your driving test before January 1997 you will normally, automatically have this category on your licence. If you passed your test after this date you will have had to take an additional test. Please call us for details. Business users will be restricted by operators licence on vehicles over 3.5 tonne and will need to discuss this with us.

7.5 Tonne Dropside Trucks and Flatbed Lorries

These are ideal for the carriage of goods such as multisized loads where the weather does not matter.

Business users will be restricted by operators licence on vehicles over 3.5 tonne and will need to discuss this with us.
